Retrieval Services Queensland & TEMSU
Retrieval Services Queensland (RSQ) is responsible for the clinical coordination of all aeromedical retrievals and transfers of patients from northern NSW to Torres Strait Islands. It plays a vital role in helping overcome the vast distances, supporting equitable access to specialist clinical services for all Queenslanders.

The Telehealth Emergency Management Support Unit (TEMSU) is collocated with RSQ. TEMSU is a service provider that coordinates unscheduled access to predetermined specialist services to support rural clinicians and patients via videoconference (‘telehealth’).
While TEMSU and RSQ offer different and distinct services, operationally they complement each other’s roles as part of the same team.
