The AQNML has a long and proud history that stretches back to 1950 and at that time, the intent of the Association was 'to discuss mutual problems and to keep abreast of modern methods'. This is still relevant today with the Association of Queensland Nursing and Midwifery Leaders providing professional leadership through advocacy, support and development; promoting leadership outcomes and influencing policy for healthcare excellence.
