Pauline is an academic, leader and researcher in nursing with a passion for rural and remote healthcare and supporting our health workforce to improve patient outcomes.

Carolyn (Carrie) Bourke
Nurse Manager - Clinical Workforce Development (Nurse Education Team), Toowoomba Darling Downs Hospital & Health Service, Registered Nurse/Midwife, RIPRN, Grad Dip Healthcare Leadership, Grad Cert CFHN, Cert IV TAE, MACN, Certified Practitioner of Applied Mindfulness, Development Coach

 

Carolyn (Carrie) Bourke is a registered nurse and midwife with over 40 years’ experience in the healthcare sector working as the nurse manager, clinical workforce development at Darling Downs Health, Queensland. She has worked in both rural and regional health settings from RN, CN, NUM, relieving Rural DON and now education. Carolyn is passionate about developing a workforce through coaching and mentoring to translate theory into practice that applies to real world challenges, creating a workforce that supports patient safety in a healing environment.
